About Brittany Henricks

Growing up on the Monterey Peninsula of California instilled a love for being outside and enjoying great food. Sipping hot coffee while strolling the beach or running on beautiful trails through rolling hills were some of my favorite pastimes. As a military spouse, I have since lived in almost every time zone in the U.S. and have a newfound appreciation for the beauty of my hometown as well as the ease and enjoyment of being outdoors in a western state. However, I love to travel and experience new places and have discovered there are always hidden gems to be found wherever the Army takes us.

I have always been drawn to helping others work through difficult times in their lives. What began as a natural tendency developed into a vocation and a career through my training as a pastor and a therapist. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to integrate my studies of theology and psychology and believe that healing is found as we strengthen the intimacy and connectedness we experience in our relationships with God, others, and ourselves.

While my Christian faith is an integral part of my identity as a therapist, I welcome the opportunity to work with people from all faith traditions. I hold advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, and work from this empirically validated modality to understand relational conflict and to help individuals, couples and families create stronger emotional bonds in relationships with their loved ones.

I am married to my husband of eight years and together we share the responsibilities of chasing after our two rambunctious toddler boys and their older sister . Our family loves to enjoy pancakes on Saturday mornings and walks in our neighborhood with our sweet golden retriever and energetic chocolate lab puppy.
