Emotionally Focused Therapy

We often use a scientifically--validated approach when providing therapy called Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). EFT seeks to understand both partners' experiences in a way to increase self-awareness and awareness of each other's perspectives, not in a way to cast blame or shame, but to create shared meaning and understanding.

 

The goal of EFT is to discover the pattern that is creating disconnection, interrupt that pattern, and create a new pattern of healing and increased connection. 

 

EFT seems to be superior to other forms of evidence-based treatment. It appears science has discovered how God has created us to connect. When using Emotionally Focused Therapy as a therapist sacred moments seem to emerge where couples and individuals move towards their goals for therapy.
