Areas of focus
I provide therapy for individuals and couples seeking to strengthen their relationships and improve their emotional well-being. Life’s challenges—whether related to relationship struggles, personal transitions, or the demands of military life—can create cycles of frustration, emotional distance, and confusion. Over time, these patterns may lead to feelings of isolation and disconnection, making it difficult to know where to begin when trying to rebuild trust and communication.
The foundation of meaningful change starts with creating a space where clients feel safe to express their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. I work with clients to uncover the underlying patterns that keep them feeling stuck and guide them toward developing healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. My approach helps clients strengthen emotional bonds, rebuild trust, and foster a deeper understanding of their experiences.
As a military spouse, I understand the unique stressors that come with military life. Frequent relocations, long separations, and the challenges of reintegration can create emotional strain and profoundly impact relationships. My experience providing therapy at a counseling center on Fort Bragg allowed me to work closely with service members, veterans, and their families. This experience deepened my understanding of the resilience required to navigate these complexities and strengthened my ability to support clients facing similar challenges.
I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients create lasting change. EFT focuses on identifying and reshaping emotional patterns to foster secure and connected relationships, while SFBT emphasizes clients’ strengths and helps develop practical solutions to meet their goals. By integrating these approaches, I tailor therapy to the unique needs of each client, whether they are seeking to strengthen their relationship, manage anxiety or depression, or process difficult life experiences.
In therapy, I strive to create a supportive and collaborative space where clients can gain insight, develop new skills, and work toward meaningful growth. I believe that lasting change is possible when clients feel empowered to take an active role in their journey, and I am committed to helping them build the foundation for healthier relationships and a more fulfilling life.
